The Italian podiums

How have our standard bearers performed at the Circuit of the Americas so far? Let’s say there has been some podiums over the years, the last one in 2021. But let’s go in order, starting with the first. After an all-Spanish 2013, in 2014 here is a tricolor note thanks to Andrea Dovizioso, who places his Ducati on the third step of the podium. The following year, behind the unstoppable Márquez, there are two Italians: this time Dovizioso is second, third place for Valentino Rossi. Tricolor flicker also in 2016, on this occasion he thinks about it Andrea Iannone, third at the finish line on the Ducati of the factory team, while the following year here is Rossi 2nd, inserted between the Repsol Honda duo. In the 2018 round there is still Iannone on the podium, this time on Suzuki, opening one blue hat-trick completed by compatriots Rossi and Dovizioso. In 2019 we mentioned the battle closed with Rossi second, while last year the tricolor note on the podium brought the signature of Pecco Bagnaia3rd on Ducati.

The boys in the lower classes, on the other hand, scored two wins per category in Austin. Let’s start with Moto3which has in Romano Fenati his winning man with a double win in 2016 (with the KTM of Sky VR46) and 2017 (on the Honda of Snipers). Like other podiums, ‘Fenny’ is 2nd in 2015, but there will also be other names on the Austin podium.
