17.00 – Crash for Pol Espargarò (Honda), the Spaniard lost the front while he wasn’t forcing.
Leading now is Alex Marquez (Honda LCR, SM) in 2’06.944, then Zarco (Ducati Pramac, SM) and Mir (Suzuki, SM).

16.59 – First chronometric references on the time monitor: the leader is Jack Miller (Ducati, SM) in 2’08.296, behind him Rins (Suzuki, SM) and Mir (Suzuki, SM).

16.55 – Green light for Austin Free Practice 1 – 45 minutes available to the 24 MotoGP riders, in search of the best set-up for the weekend.

16.40 – In the FP1 of Moto2 the fastest was Augusto Fernandez, who preceded the home idol Cameron Beaubier. Third the first of the Italians, Tony Arbolino. Championship leader Celestino Vietti finished sixteenth.

16.30 – The sun is shining on Austin’s new asphalt: there is still a bump in Turn 10, albeit less pronounced than last year.

16.20 – The World Championship lands in Austin, for the round of the Americas and meets Marc Marquez, the Spanish champion capable of establishing himself seven times in eight editions in Texas. The Honda rider has recovered from a new recurrence of diplopia (double vision), which occurred after the Mandalika Warm Up incident, and is ready to do battle after missing two races.
