16.40 – In the FP1 of Moto2 the fastest was Augusto Fernandez, who preceded the home idol Cameron Beaubier. Third the first of the Italians, Tony Arbolino. Championship leader Celestino Vietti finished sixteenth.

16.30 – The sun is shining on Austin’s new asphalt: there is still a bump in Turn 10, albeit less pronounced than last year.
