MotoGP, Aprilia dominates free practice at Termas: Espargarò 1st, Vinales 2nd! Bagnaia in Q1

21:41 – The checkered flag flies over the session, with Aprilia celebrating a brace with Aleix Espargarò in front of Maverick Vinales. In the final minutes, Miller managed to get the Ducati into 3rd position, ahead of Fabio Quartararo and Brad Binder (stopped during the session by the failure of the engine of one of his KTMs). Behind the South African are the two Suzuki riders of Rins and Mir, then the Pramac couple formed by Martin and Zarco. The last direct place in Q2 was taken by Luca Marini on the wool end.

Missing Pecco Bagnaia, angry during the turn for the traffic, and only 12th behind Oliveira. 21:28 – Quartararo climbs the rankings and takes the third time in front of Mir and Binder. But after a while Martìn arrives who snatches the 4th time. Baganai enters the top ten with 9th place and takes Q2.

21:26 – Binder also shows up in front, finishing in 4th place right in front of his teammate Oliveira. KTM is as competitive here as Aprilia. It will be a GP with potential surprises. 21:22 – Aleix Espargarò is responding to Vinales! Top duel for Aprilia, with the two standard bearers competing for the best time of the session.

21:21 – The two Aprilia also attack. Vinales snatches the best time from his teammate! Fantastic day for the RS-GP in Termas.

21:20 – Dovizioso improves slightly and is 22nd, 1’1 seconds behind the best. Red helmets for Vinales and Zarco. Bastianini also improves.

21:19 – Alex Marquez is also pushing, but loses his advantage in the second sector. There are 20 minutes to go before the checkered flag and soon a real time trial hunt will unleash to get into Q2.

The first free practice session at Termas di Rio Hondo returned the smile to Honda and Nakagami, author of the best time.
